Download Instructions

Click the download link and download will typically commence.

From Internet Explorer it may be necessary to download via the pop-up menu (Control-click) from the download link, and choosing Download Link to Disk.

The downloaded disk image file will automatically mount if you're using Safari. If you're not you'll need to double-click the disk image file to mount it. If you have problems, drag the file to Disk Copy, located in the Utilities folder of the Applications folder.

Installation Instructions

1. Install TextExpander.prefPane by double-clicking on its file icon. This is the recommended way to install or upgrade TextExpander.
Alternatively, you can install TextExpander by copying TextExpander.prefPane to one of the following folders:
• /Library/PreferencePanes/
• /Users/your user directory/Library/PreferencePanes/
Please make sure the new version of TextExpander.prefPane replaces any previous version of TextExpander you might have installed. If you're installing TextExpander to a different location, or replacing a version of Textpander please remove the old TextExpander.prefPane or Textpander.prefPane files manually.

2. Open System Preferences ("/Applications/System Preferences.app").

3. Open the Universal Access pane and enable access for assistive devices.

4. Open TextExpander's preference pane and start TextExpander by checking the Enable TextExpander checkbox (under the Preferences tab).
